ALC

Ive decided that I am going to do to a poster board. I am just picturing a really good idea for the market place. i am going to glue everything on to the poster and it is going to give a lot of good information/facts that most people have not heard of. i think it is going to be good for everyone to see because it is going to educate them on what the problem with drinking is and people will learn how bad drinking alcohol really is. I got most of these facts form "Florida institute of technology" they have a lot of recent data that i was looking to find. otherwise I don't think my project would be as good as it is now. also on this website it has this test to see if you have a addiction that I am planning on adding on my poster board. Surprisingly i am actually learning a lot and have a good time doing it. i am currently in a 2 day suspension and all i have been doing is working on this project. i want to get a A so i can pass fourth quarter and do a good job. i have missed a lot of class so it is hard to know exactly what mr kramer wants but im working my ass so hard that there is no way it is going to come out bad! its going to be so good and is going to teach everyone at our school what alcoholism is and how to prevent it and get away form it.

Alcohol binge drinking problems and solutions article.

I just got done reading this article that is going to help me with my paper so much it is called "Alcohol binge drinking problems and solutions" The article is mainly college drinking problems as are a lot of articles that come up when i do research but this one was different even though it was mainly about college drinking the information that is on binge drinking is really good and is going to fill my paper. It talks about all these studies that have been done in many different country's and also studies that relate to high school students which is good because that is who i am going to be talking about this issue to. "While a continuing barrage of newspaper articles, TV shows, and special interest group reports claim that binge drinking among young people is a growing epidemic, the actual fact is quite to the contrary. Binge drinking among young people is clearly declining and it has been doing so for many years." (www2.potsdam.edu) that is interesting to me because then they show a graph saying that drinking has declined from 41% to 28% between 1980 and 2003, that's a drop of almost one third! another thing that keeps coming up that is interesting to me is that there are ads for alcohol abuse help on every article i do for drinking and alcoholism, this makes me wonder who else reads these if its someone who is trying to help a family member and there doing research or if alcoholics do research and see these ads, i don't know it just kind of confused me and made me wonder if some of the facts weird twisted to make drinking seem horrible because personally i believe in everything is good in the right amounts, saying that drinking is really okay for you if you do it the right responsible way.  another reason why i like this article is that it doesn't just state that there is an issue but it also gives us way to help against alcohol abuse. which i like that they want people to take action. this article actually had some humor in it some how they were talking about how Americans "binge" drink like they were trying to please members of the Prohibition party and the christian temperance union.

Startin ma project sirrrr

I have just picked my topic for the issues project that we have to do for class, and I picked Alcoholism. I know for a fact that alcoholism is a big problem for so many people in the world today and has been for 100s of years, you don't even need to do research to know that. Ever since i was a kid i have always heard about alcoholism being a big problem but i never really experienced what it was like until my later years in high school when you are getting older and people around you are starting their addiction to alcoholism. Its sad because of its dependents that alcohol causes, i know some people that they have to drink that day and if they don't they will find a way to no matter what, if you know at all what alcohol does to you health wise then you would know that drinking everyday is a horrible factor for you're body and it is the wrong choice.

This test said i was alittle racist

I took a test on bias about white people and black people. I answered some questions that determined that i am secretly slightly racist. i fit in with 16% of the people that have taken this test. To be honest i am not racist what so ever i treat black people just like everyone else in the world. i think this test is trying to show that you think things and assume without thinking about it. Therefore their stereotype's.  The thing that surprised me the most were the results, 27% of the people who have taken this test in the past 10 years have a strong automatic preference for white people compared to black people. This says something i think,  there are way more stereotypes towards black people than white people. This shows that 27% of people believe in a lot of stereotypes that are racist and i think that is horrible. I really don't know how this test determines these results but i think that the results show that it really is a struggle for black people around white people because 1/4 of them are already judging them by the color of  there skin and that's not acceptable.

galaxy s 3

Honestly the galaxy S 3 is the sickest phone in the world. I cant get over how much better it is than the iPhone. For SO MANY REASONS! One thing is that it looks way cooler, the Galaxy has a way bigger,clearer, nicer screen plus the phone is thinner than the iPhone. That already sounds better to me. Then the operating system android is tight as fuck like i have so many options for EVER SINGLE thing on the phone, its just so much more customizable. Also the battery on the galaxy is way better than my old iPhone i would have to charge that thing like 2 times a day and it was so inconvenient. It pissed me off more than anything also i hated that the battery was connected to the phone n that you cant take it out. For the Galaxy S 3 i have a charger that charges that actual battery pack and i have 2 of those so i never have to ever have my phone plugged in. i just switch my battery every morning and I'm good for the whole day and entertained more than the iPhone entertained me.    

The interupter

The Interrupters are ex cons and ex gang members who are paid by the city to help all the gang violence in the city of Chicago. This obviously brings a lot of controversy because the city is paying people like that, but i am all for it. I have been watching the show The Interrupters and they are helping an extreme amount of people in the community. The Interrupters are basically come in between disputes between rival gang members who keep getting revenge. These people are good people they may have a bad history but they are here to help and change all the killings that are none stop happening everyday in Chicago. In a way the interrupters are heroes they risk there lives everyday to stop kids from getting killed. i have a lot of respect for them you can just tell by the way they treat and talk to people that they are there to help. i think that they are the best people for the job because they know what they are talking about cuz they lived it before so they will understand and be able to help much more.

THA Parkin LOOOOOOOOT

I am so tired of not being able to park in the senior student parking lot. i have to park in the Junior lot almost everyother day . Last year i was aware of what grade i was in and i realized that it was a privilege to be able to park here, so i parked were i was suppose to so the seniors can get the best parking since they've waited four years to get it. now it is my turn and i don't even get to park were i have been waiting to. All the juniors need to stop disrespecting the seniors and KNOW THERE PLACE. Which is the Junior lot. i am going to start making a bigger deal about it to the juniors if they don't start parking there because i am not the only senior who complains about it.
