I think that the referendum for Highland Park high school and Deerfield high school is kind of ridiculous. 89 million dollars is way too much, they could cut that in half and get everything they need and not want done. The things that they need are pools redone. The air quality in the school is poor. Some classes are too hot and others are too cold. This is a huge problem for students and teachers. Another thing to be looked at is our athletic complex. Other schools have accommodations that we don’t have. In the classroom they should have smart boards. These are things that the referendum would help with. I just don’t know if that’s worth 89 million dollars to get the stuff they need done. also i heard that highland park high school doesn't have any way for people in wheelchairs to get around and that is def something that needs to be changed and fixed. its just i don't get why they didn't talk about that in the referendum that much, maybe cuz i go to deerfield but idk. just hopefully it doesn't pass and they think bout what they need not want.
